Linda Seymour was appointed General Manager, President and Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Bank Canada effective September 2020. She is a member of the Board of HSBC Bank Canada and is Chair of the Board of HSBC Asset Management (Canada) Limited.
Linda began her career in Commercial Banking and has held a number of progressively senior roles within the bank, including: Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking; Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking, Ontario Region; and Chief Operating Officer, Wealth and Personal Banking.
Daniel (Dan) Hankinson was appointed Chief Financial Officer for HSBC Bank Canada in September 2022.
Dan joined HSBC in 2001 and has held a number of senior positions in Global Finance across the bank, including in Asia and the UK. Previous roles include: Head of Asset, Liability and Capital Management for the Asia Pacific region; Chief Financial Officer for HSBC Indonesia; and Global Head of Regulatory Reporting Transformation, HSBC Bank plc. Most recently, Dan was the Global Head of Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP), HSBC Bank plc, where he was responsible for leading enhancements to HSBC Group's RRP capabilities.
Dan is married with three children. In his spare time he is a keen skier and motocross rider.
Lilac Bosma was appointed General Counsel for HSBC Bank Canada in June 2018.
Lilac joined HSBC in 2012, and has held progressively senior roles within the bank’s legal department in Canada. Prior to joining HSBC, she practiced law at a business law firm. Lilac is a member of HSBC’s Global Legal Risk Executive Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of Women General Counsel Canada. Lilac is a champion for diversity and inclusion, and is currently Executive Co-Sponsor for HSBC Canada’s Indigenous Canadian Employee Resource Group.
Outside of work, Lilac enjoys cycling, hiking and skiing with her husband and three daughters.
Anna Camilleri was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Auditor for HSBC Bank Canada in September 2021.
Anna joined HSBC in 2015 as Head of Internal Audit for HSBC Bank Malta Plc. This role included oversight of the Internal Audit functions in Non-Continental Europe including Malta, Bermuda, South Africa, Israel, Russia, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Armenia.
Before joining HSBC, Anna was an advisor and auditor with an international firm for 24 years in Malta and the UK. An accountant and auditor, she has been active in advancing the profession including as a trainer at the professional exam level of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and as a Chair and member of the Malta Forum for Internal Auditors.
Outside of work, Anna is a keen traveller, foodie and motor bike enthusiast.
Lisa Dalton was appointed Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO, for HSBC Bank Canada in June 2016.
Lisa first joined HSBC in 2000 and has held a variety of roles on both the legal and compliance teams in the bank. Before her current role, she re-joined HSBC in 2015 as Corporate Secretary and Head of Governance, HSBC Bank Canada. Prior to joining HSBC, Lisa practiced corporate commercial law at a Canadian law firm, and she is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
Alicia Evers was appointed Corporate Secretary and Head of Governance for HSBC Bank Canada in March 2022.
Alicia joined HSBC in 2017 as Deputy Corporate Secretary. Prior to that, she was legal counsel for a capital markets regulator, advising its members in their roles as board directors and tribunal adjudicators in areas of corporate governance, securities law, administrative law, evidence and procedure.
Alicia has a Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from Queen's University and holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from Osgoode Hall Law School. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
Kimberly Flood was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Communications for HSBC Bank Canada in November 2013.
Before joining HSBC, Kimberly spent 15 years in chief in-house communications counsel roles for several international financial services organizations. Prior to that, she worked at several of Canada's leading public relations agencies specializing in financial communications.
Kim Hallwood was appointed Head of Corporate Sustainability for HSBC Bank Canada in May 2013.
Kim joined HSBC in 2011, and has held progressively senior roles within the bank’s corporate sustainability department in Canada. Before joining HSBC, Kim managed global sustainability programs for an international financial institution based out of the UK.
Marty Halpin was appointed Head of Markets and Securities Services (MSS) for HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., a subsidiary of HSBC Bank Canada in November 2022.
Marty joined HSBC in 1994 as an Interest Rate Derivative Trader, before becoming Director of Treasury in 2002. In 2012, he was named Head of Global Markets Treasury, where he oversaw the management of the bank's liquid asset portfolio, as well as the structural interest rate risk of the balance sheet. Before his current role, he was Acting Head of MSS, HSBC Bank Canada. He is also a member of the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) and the Chair of the bank's Pension Investment Committee.
Marty is originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and received his MBA from Wilfred Laurier University.
Scott Lampard was appointed Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Head of Global Banking for HSBC Bank Canada in August 2020.
Scott joined the bank in 2015 as the Head of Capital Financing. His most recent role, prior to his appointment was Head of Global Markets. Before joining HSBC, he worked with several European and US banks in Toronto, New York, Sydney, Hong Kong and London, leading capital markets and country teams.
He is also a member of the Board of Future Vault Inc. and a member of Ridley College's Board of Governors and Chair of the school's Finance, Audit, Human Resource and Risk Committee.
Georgia Stavridis was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for HSBC Bank Canada in May 2020.
Georgia joined HSBC in 2001, and has held a variety of senior compliance roles in the bank. Previous roles include: Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Crime Compliance, Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer, Chief Compliance Officer of the Trust and Mutual Fund businesses, Head of Compliance for the Retail Banking business, Head of Anti-Money Laundering, and Senior Legal Counsel, HSBC Bank Canada. Before joining HSBC, Georgia practiced law at a Canadian law firm and held a client facing role in corporate trust financial services.
Kim Toews was appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Human Resources for HSBC Bank Canada in May 2017.
Kim joined HSBC in 1990, and has held a variety of positions across the bank, including roles in Asia, the UK and Canada. Previous roles include: Global Head of HR, Software Delivery, HSBC Malaysia; Global Head of HR, HSBC Technology Services, Global Banking and Markets, HSBC Bank plc; Head of Learning, Talent Management, Resourcing, and Organizational Development, HSBC Bank Canada. Before her current role, she was the Vice President, Human Resources, HSBC Technology Services and Functions, HSBC Bank Canada.
Larry Tomei was appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Wealth and Personal Banking for HSBC Bank Canada in October 2016. In addition to leading the wealth business and retail bank in Canada, Larry is a member of the Board of HSBC Bank Canada, a member of the Pension Advisory Committee and Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Council of HSBC Bank Canada.
Before joining HSBC, Larry held a variety of senior executive roles at a major Canadian financial institution including heading up the sales and service team for retail distribution and leading the institution’s mutual fund arm.
In 2020, Larry was the recipient of the Report on Business “Best Executive Award” which recognizes fifty leaders annually who represent the best of Canadian leadership, in addition to being named a "HERoes Role Model" for his work in diversity and inclusion. In 2010, he was recognized as one of “Canada’s Top 40 under 40” by The Caldwell Partners International, the country’s most coveted award for young business leaders.
Larry was fortunate to be chosen as a torch bearer for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and the 2015 PanAm Games. He holds an MBA and a BBA from the Schulich School of Business.
Caroline Tose was appointed Chief Operating Officer in January 2020 for HSBC Bank Canada.
Caroline joined HSBC in 1985, and has held senior management roles across the bank within Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye (MENAT) region and at a global level. Previous roles include: Head of Operations and Transformation, HSBC MENAT; Head of CMB Business Services, HSBC Bank plc; and Chief Operating Officer for Global Liquidity and Cash Management, HSBC Bank plc. Before her current role, she was Head of Wholesale Operations, HSBC Bank plc.
Sophia Tsui was appointed Chief Risk Officer for HSBC Bank Canada in February 2021.
Sophia joined HSBC in 1994 in Commercial Banking, and has held progressively senior roles on the Global Risk team. In 1998, she moved to Risk Management to help build risk capabilities outside of transactional credit. She covered a wide range of activities including adoption of all new tools and requirements after the 2008 financial crisis such as capital management, stress testing, and economic capital. While in the UK working with Global Risk, Sophia helped develop, shape and maintain the risk management agenda and culture as the Global Head of Risk Appetite & Risk Governance, HSBC Holdings plc. In 2016, she returned to Canada as Chief Auditor for HSBC Bank Canada.
Before joining HSBC, Sophia was an auditor with an international firm, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. In 2018, she was named one of the Women's Executive Network (WXN) Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada.
Alan Turner was appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking for HSBC Bank Canada in February 2021. Commercial Banking provides products, services and digital technology to enhance the client experience across cash and liquidity management, trade and receivables finance, foreign exchange and lending for a wide range of businesses from SMEs to large Canadian and foreign multinational corporates.
Prior to his appointment, Alan was the Head of Commercial Banking for HSBC in Singapore. Before joining HSBC in early 2017, he worked in corporate and investment banking with another international bank for 25 years, latterly as Global Head of Product in its Corporate Banking division. This followed a number of capital structuring and origination roles in London, Hong Kong and Sydney, arranging debt and equity transactions for over 100 issuers from 14 different countries. Alan uses his experience – spanning local, regional and global roles, including 10 years in Asia – to support our clients with their growth and international expansion plans.
